2019_05 Billy Joel on Piano 1 Color.jpg

Ed Callahan

Piano / Keys / Harmonica / Lead Vocals

Ed Started out as a Heavy Metal Guy who played guitar and then discovered music theory via Piano. Messed around with writing. Played keys and sang with The Church Band at Christ Church in Columbia Station for about 10 years where he got the privilege of playing with great musicians such as Paul and Bill Kraker, Tony Koussa Jr., Chris Cummings. Having to learn a couple Billy Joel songs for church services is what led to starting this Incredibly Awesome Band! He then started playing Bass in the Tom Petty Tribute/Shadow of Doubt. Since then Ed sings for Moss Stanley/Nitebridge doing Motown, R&B and more. He has also had the opportunity and privilege to share a stage with players like Colin Dussault, Sam Hooper, Herbert Wilborn Jr., and many more Cleveland greats.

Tony plays almost every instrument on the stage and his accolades are many. Therefore I added a link to his website if you want to learn more about him and The Element, the band he leads. Tony brings a level of excellence and professionalism to the stage that all musicians love and respect.

Chris Cummings

Drums / Percussion / Vocals

Professor Cummings is the total package. His 30+ years of experience as a live and studio drummer, along with a Master's degree in music give Chris the necessary tools to lay down all the perfect beats to keep the party grooving from measure one. He's opened for the likes of Charlie Daniels, Vince Gill, and Southside Johnny, all while maintaining his persona as a music teacher at Newton D. Baker School in Cleveland.

Dwayne Dickman

Electric & Acoustic Guitars / Vocals

Dwayne started studying guitar when he was 13, and though self-taught, brings an incredible versatility to the instrument. This versatility has been honed while backing national acts like Frankie Avalon and The Fortunes, and leading the all-occasion band, The Orchestra. Dwayne has played for and recorded several radio and television commercials, including those for Great Lakes Acceptance and the Cleveland Browns. Throughout his career, Dwayne has cultivated a deep admiration for the music of Billy Joel, and being asked to perform with Ed Callahan and the other "Strangers" allows him to indulge this passion.

Sam comes from a musical family in which his Mom, Dad and Brother are all musicians. He studied with legendary Cleveland drum instructer Bob McKee and attended Cleveland State University and Tri-C West for music. In the 1990s, Sam played with Sonny Geraci from the Outsiders and toured the midwestern and southern states backing up such popular oldies acts as Leslie Gore, Tommy Roe, Peter Noone and many more. He has been the drummer for The Orchestra since January, 1999. Along with The Orchestra, Sam also plays acoustic guitar in Rossi & Romano, a guy/girl duo featuring the talented Erin Rossi.
